Once you apply for a job by submitting your resume, a member of our recruiting team will evaluate your resume and determine whether it is a good match for the position to which you have applied. Our automated applicant tracking system will keep you informed of your status from the from the time you apply to the time an offer is made. If the recruiter feels there may be a good match you will be contacted and told what to expect and what it's like to work at Grand Central Solutions.



Recruiter Phone Screen

You’ve applied for the position and your resume seems to fit the job. The phone screen assesses your general skills, proficiency and employment needs, to the level of determining whether you should be scheduled for a phone screen or on-site interview with the hiring team. Typically phone screens are conducted by the recruiter and last about 30-40 minutes.

Hiring Manager Phone Screen

Your phone screen with the recruiter was successful. In most cases the next step is to speak by phone with a Hiring Manager or an employee in a similar position, named to the interview team. This phone screen will be more specific and targeted. Questions related to your core skills, background and experiences will be asked to determine if they coalesce with the position. In some cases this step may be omitted and an onsite interview will be scheduled.

Onsite interview

Our onsite interview process further evaluates your core skills associated with the opening for which you have applied. Whether you are applying for a position within our Social Media or Talent Acquisition Department you will be asked questions about your background, experiences, skills and areas of interest specific to your discipline. During your interview, you will meet with several Grand Central Solutions employees who will give you a cross-section view of Grand Central Solutions. All interviews include a behavioral component to assess your soft skills, problem solving skills, creativity and cultural fit. A successful interview at Grand Central Solutions is not always based on answering questions correctly or incorrectly. We are more interested in your thinking process, creativity, confidence and ability to work with and get along with others.

Hiring Decision Process

Every person who interviews at Grand Central Solutions talks to at least three interviewers. Typically our interview team is made up of members from both the executive and management teams and includes a potential peer. Each member of the team shares their opinion to ensure that our hiring process is fair and adheres to high standards. We have strict service level agreements in place to ensure hiring process efficiencies and that decisions are made quickly to provide a professional and pleasurable candidate experience.

After completing onsite interviews, we will collect feedback from each member of the interview team and determine which candidate is most suitable for the job opening. A definitive decision is not made until the last candidate has been interviewed. We like to make consensus based decisions and give every candidate a fair opportunity to compete. In most cases, it takes no longer than two weeks to arrive at a final decision. During the process you will be kept informed by your recruiter as they also have service level agreements to which they must adhere. You are also free to contact your recruiter at any time.

Employment Offer

If you have been selected by the Grand Central Solutions interview team as the top candidate, your recruiter will contact you and present a verbal offer. If you accept, the offer is contingent on a successful reference and background check. We will ask for three professional references and consent to begin your background check.

On-Boarding

Congratulations! We consider your first 6 months with Grand Central Solutions the on-boarding period. Again, we take hiring and building our company culture very seriously. We also take your future with Grand Central Solutions and your decision to join our family very seriously. Our on-boarding process is strategic and designed to reaffirm your employment decision, assimilate you into the organization’s culture and prepare you to contribute to your fullest potential.
